Focus confirmation box was half way along the wall, yet focus appears to be at the bottom right of the wall where the crack appears.

focus confirmation was left side, crop below :-

I've shot at this place a few times, nice location, nice sunsets. Anyway, the reason for the post is that you seem to have a number of issues going on. I cant help with the focus accuracy but also seems to be some sub optimal processing both in camera and not. Also comparing to full frame isnt a good idea as could be up again a better lens and sensor. You shouldnt have to deal with all this though, you should just be getting decent results from default and thats fuji's issue to sort out.

To this day it still seems fuji is applying strong noise reduction and poor demoscaing of its own in camera jpgs.. thats a shame.

This was shot with RAW and converted with Capture One.

same process as with my XT3 files.

I was deliberate when taking these shots knowing of the potential issue. First shot back focused compared to where I had AF confirmation.

Second shot again I focused on where the crop was and nothing was in focus!!!

It maybe a lens issue, camera? But either way nothing I’ve ever experienced before with my XT1, 3 etc
