I'm an xt2 user.
For AF-S, I use single point focus.
For AF-C, I use single point or a small box for tricky fast moving subjects (race cars, fighter jets, snowsports).
If my box is green, it is in focus where the box is. Period. That also implies that it is up to me to get the box on my subject in the first place.

I've never used any of the other focus modes (wide tracking, etc) because it didn't 'speak to me'.

Question: with all this AF improvement/malfunctioning talk we see in this and other threads, I have the impression that my old-school focus-and-recompose method still works regardless?
I'm not in any rush to buy an xt5, but having the re-assurance that my way of working is still solid, helps.

A tried and true method that I still use for static objects.  However, I have migrated to eye-AF for its accuracy with most cams.  I am also and X-T2 user and never had an AF issue.
