Fuji X-H2S with fast auto-focusing stacking sensor recommended by users. However Fuji X-T5 with 40mp sensor only selling more based on lower price. XT-3 owners like myself caught in no-mans land of either advancing to XH higher-ground or going in reverse with X-T4 while still available. Fuji APS-C cameras had the advantage of being cheaper than SONY full-frame cameras. Less so these days. Fuji know their customers. But some Fuji camera owners not so sure about the future of Fuji XT cameras.

Completely disagree that the X-T5 only sells on price.

I would have bought an X-T5S if they made a 26mp stacked sensor version for the same price as the X-H2S. I just really dislike the controls on the X-H2S.

It’s actually the main reason I don’t pick up the GFX100S as often as the A1 The Sony has for my tastes a much more pleasurable set of controls. Dedicated EC dial, dedicated SS dial, aperture rings on the better lenses like the 35 1.4 and the 50 1.2 and 70-200 2.8

I say this as a hard core Fuji fan boi (still have an X100S, IR converted X-E1, Graphite X-T2, X-H1, GFX100S) but the OP is right. Fuji has some catching up to do in the AF/tracking department. That is not saying that the X-H2S is bad. It’s pretty good I shot part of an air show with the X-Hs2 / 150-600 and it was the best Fuji ever in that regard.

Still not Sony good. I had a go with an A7 RV on Tuesday.  One of my best shooting buds just switched from Nikon to Sony and we picked up his new camera.

Wow. Out of the box it was very impressive.  If you don’t need the benefits of a stacked sensor in some ways it is better than the A1 which is already ridiculously good.

I picked up an X-T5 because it ticks the boxes for me in a Fuji camera but AF-C isn’t a reason to go for one.
