I have recently been experimenting with Epson Print Layout (""EPL", v 1.5.5) and about a third of the time the image opens in EPL cropped when exported from Lightroom. And there does not appear to be any way for me to restore the image to the crop I created in Lightroom. THe image is being exported as a 16 bit TIFF.

If I then export the image again, most of the time it opens in EPL as it should. But not always. SOmetimes I have to repeat the process a few times.

My question is, are others having this issue also?

I am running EPL on a Mac Studio using MOnterey.

Thanks.

If you select "Scale to fit" then it should not crop. It crops if you select "Margins" and the margins are not allowing the full image.

I run EPL on it's own in a PC and don't export the images from any photo editor. I don't use LR at all, but I think it should work without issues. ALso, what you mean by "no way of restoring the image"... EPL is just a printer interface, it does not change the image. Just close EPL and it should be fine, nothing should be changed in the LR image.

Thanks olyflyer but I think I may not have been clear enough. EPL is changing the image. The photo opens in EPL cropped from how it appears in LR when it is exported. Checking the "Scale to Fit" box has no effect. Margins is not selected and the sliders for "inches" are both to the far right. Also, the margins are set to minimal amounts. I think there is a bug in the software.

Re-exporting works but it sometimes takes more than one try.

That is very strange. I have never seen this happening with my prints. I still don't understand what you mean by "when it is exported". Do you mean saved to be printed, or you mean exported to print from LR? I mean, are you running EPL as a separate software or you start it from LR as a plugin? I start it separately and drag in the edited and saved jpeg images into the EPL print preview screen and work with EPL totally independent from Photoshop or the Nikon raw editor.
