There were early online grumblings about AF issues when X-H2/T5 released across online site/forums. Fans quickly swarmed in countering with it works amazing for them etc...

Jerred Z made video showing the AF issues he encountered. He used eye AF af-c with "release priority" (default). Changing to "focus priority" would be better as many comment. However, his response was his sony/canon works perfectly fine with "release priority" and shouldn't need to switch.

I think it was Tony Philips in his XPro3 Ebook and Tony Philips does a pretty good job on understanding and reviewing Fuji, that he never uses "Release Priority" in AFC on any camera where he has a choice.  As he says "why?"  On the other hand he said he always used "Release Priority" in AFS since he wants the camera to take a picture when he pushes the shutter.  I think the opposite is default on the Fuji cameras I have bought.  I think Tony is absolutely correct on this issue.  I don't care what camera I was using if I wanted to shoot AFC tracking AF I would set the camera to "Focus Priority."

Especially with some of the older Fuji lenses with older stepper motors like the 56 f1.2 both old and new, there is no way the lens motor can keep up with the frame rate of the new generation of Fuji cameras.  If you use release priority in AFC one of these lenses - there is bound to be issues.  I would not expect my 50 f1 to support AFC and burst shooting well.  The results will be vastly different between the 50-140 f2.8 and the 50 f1 because of the liner motors in the zoom.

The fact that people like Morris and Allen Hewitt can manage to understand the camera and make them sing - makes me wonder about the reliability of these YouTubers's text.
