Use a PD powerbank as alternative to dummy battery ?
1

Shortly after I purchased the R6 I tried my dummy battery of the 6D on the R6, but it did not work: the camera did not power on. So I accepted it was not possible.
Recently I read an article that a power delivery (PD) powerbank could be used as an external power supply.

So I tried my Baseus 65W powerbank and plugged it into the R6. At the moment the LP-E6NH was fully charged so it did not charge now. Normally the green light on the rear turns on when I plug in the cable to this power bank.
But then I turned on the camera and at my surprise I noticed that it appears to draw power dependant on the function used. E.g. triggering the eye sensor activates the EVF (the rear screen blanked) and then the current increases from 0.4 to 0.6 Amps and back when I deactivate the EVF. Then I started recording video, increasing current to 0.7 A and reverts to 0.4 when I stop filming. When the auto sleep mode activates, the current decreases to 0.2A (but not zero).

See this video I recorded of this: https://www.skysurfer.eu/forumpix/canon-r6-powerbank.mp4

Then I used another small (also PD) Anker 20Ah powerbank, but that one does not power the camera and can only charge it.
What are your experiences ?
