Thanks for your comments

Yes to pretty much what everyone has asked.

1) Yes set to Focus release

2) AF + MF set to "OFF"

3) I have checked in the preview of where the camera has an X where it thinks it has focused. In reality it isn't when checking in Capture One.

4) Used with a combination of EF and MS (I believe EF+M+E) - It states EF works until 1/2000sec MS woks when faster than 1/2000 and ES works when faster than 1/8000

What is interesting is the possible issue of shutter shock interacting with IBIS. Not really heard of that as never used IBIS before.

Which lens are you using? Shutter shock is usually connected with zoom lenses and certain shutter speeds.

No, it's connected with floating ois elements or ibis sensors. Nothing to do with zoom - that's coincidence. Certain early ibis cameras had big issues (sony and Nikon) both had issues i believe and started pushing EFC shutters to address this. Fuji 16-80 and (i believe) 18-55 had some issues with this. But, yes Certain shutter speeds are more suceptible.

But this is also the reason why Fuji implemented an automatic change of shutter type based on shutter speed.

Yes, that's probably true - and substantiates the above point on shutter shock. Fuji's scheme also takes into account the limitations of maximum shutter speed with each type.
