You'd think so, wouldn't you Tom? Interestingly though, we have a historical example proving that it can indeed be done, and has already been done. It's called the SD1. That thing uses the exact same batteries as my SD 14, yet it offered not only more shots per charge, but it processed three times as much data! Oh, and it has a bigger, better review screen. Aren't modern processors amazing?!?

Yes, they are.  My fp L can go out with me all day and I seldom need to swap in my second battery.  Maybe I am not taking enough pictures?
