The refurb M6 II that I ordered a week or more ago to have a 2nd M6 II body arrived yesterday. Seems indistinguishable from new, except for the packaging it arrived in. Came with a (new?) charger and battery, plus a neck strap (ugh). The accompanying paperwork included a 1 year refurb warranty. It didn’t come with anything else, but I have plenty of lenses, and I got a like-new EVF from eBay for a great price, so ….
Oops, I forgot to get a memory card. My parts drawer didn’t have one, so I had to order one from Amazon. Ugh, again. It used to be that Amazon would deliver things in 2 days, but now it always takes a week … or more. OK, I live out in the boondocks, but the near-instant gratification of online ordering has become a thing of the past for me. I understand that people who live in metro areas in the US get things much faster, though.
I’ll wait a little longer to play with my new toy. Patience is a virtue - they say.
Congrats !
Amazon had last week the Lexar 128 GB SDXC II V60 for $30 so I ordered one.
It took a while to be delivered, like a week, perhaps they did not have them in stock.
Is that the one your ordered by any chance LOL ?
No, I ordered a SanDisk 256GB Extreme, which is the same as what I have in my original M6 II. It's still not scheduled for delivery for a few days yet.
So - I dug through my photo junk drawer again, and actually *did* find another memory card. It's even Canon branded, so it must be good! Think this one will work?
Genuine Canon memory card - From a previous century?
Good grief! Times have changed. I think this was from an ancient PowerShot that is long gone. 16MB would maybe hold 1 - 2 pictures today.
I'll keep waiting for my order to arrive.
haha, at first I thought that was 16GB, but is Megabytes !
I'd do a low level format in-camera to see if it works.
You could use it with JPEGs set at S2 size while waiting for the other.
