I did enjoy the hunt for new different gear and deals of coarse. Although in the past when I was a photojournalist I didn't care about gear just the image. The image was the most important.

Yes, I own all the Foveons and still use them.

fujifilm S5 pro(ccd), Pentax K10d (ccd), maybe a sony a390 (ccd) to try out some old minotla 200mm f2.8 lenses.

CCD and Foveon sensors are the closest to film that you can get mainly the older sensors,

Not as boring as I found it to process film and paper.

I worked for Minolta back in the 1980's till 2002 and still have a few G lenses so if I were going to to buy a Minolta/Sony I'd buy a 7D it is a excellent 6 mp camera or the Minolta/Sony A700 as it had both a CCD and CMOS sensor. It was going to be one of Minolta's next cameras along with the A900 and A99 A77 all a Minolta design.

Sorry I'm not a Sony fan after what Sony did to the employees after the purchased Minolta.

Minolta did that with their failed management policies and failed products. Sony just cleaned up Minolta’s mess and made something far more positive of it than Minolta were going to.

Ive never shot film,

I use to shoot 1 -150 rolls a month as a working photojournalist. CCD and of course foveon have a very different look, very close to film.
