hmh so how can we enjoy black and white picures, something my eyes never do, except in darkness. Would you consider a monchrome K3 "offputting" and "ugly"?

Also my eyes never show strong bokeh a lens can do (beside beeing drunk ;-)) nevertheless we like it in photos albeit being unnatural.

The viewfinder helps me capturing things what I discovered by bare eye and considered worth storing . So personally I do not see the need of subtle color and contrast in a viewfinder.

You have missed or mixed up the topic of the thread as well as my post. It's not about the look of printed or otherwise finished photos but the view of the subject whilst taking a photo.

I'm aware some people don't mind what the viewfinder looks like as long as it technically helps getting the shot.
