I'm beginning to think this whole viewfinder comparison thing isn't all that important.  I've been using Nikons with EVFs most of 2022, and using OVFs in SLRs and DSLRs (Canon, Nikon, and Pentax) for too many years.

Here's my take:

In normal contrast EVFs work fine.  As my experience with the viewfinders grew I learned the various quirks.  I have not found that minor color balance error or color rendition differences to be an issue.  I admit I mostly use the viewfinder for focusing and composition.  Today's cameras meter so well I mostly don't worry, and if I have any doubts one button push activates bracketing.  No film cost.  Why not?  Details I can deal with later.  I do shoot RAW.

In high contrast situations I might give a slight edge to OVF, but (for me) attempting to predict *exact* outcome in high contrast, tough lighting situations via any viewfinder hasn't been worthwhile.

All my images, especially those in "challenging" lighting, require post processing.  That's where final decisions regarding color balance, lighting balance or emphasis, etc. etc. are determined.

My hit rate is about the same OVF vs. EVF.  The new sensors producing nice RAW files along with much improved software has made a much larger difference in my photography than viewfinder, EVF or OVF.

Just my experience.
