EVF is about as ugly as the data which are captured by the digital sensor resp. digital camera and what is created from this data - the image - when compared to real nature.

It's not as ugly as the data but theoretically as ugly as the sooc processing. The ugliness of the EVF view doesn't affect the results but it does affect the enjoyment of photography.

Somehow the size or performance of the EVF coupled with having the "original" view right there makes it look worse in the EVF than on a larger screen. My K-1 viewfinder isn't perfect as it has a slight greenish tint but it's way better than any EVF I've seen so far.
