This is not true. Most of the time, the final image has different exposure values, especially the shutter speed, meaning the live image is noisier/ uglier image than the final one. And during live view, the sensor and the EVF are not using their full resolution.

And then, if you look more time through the camera than with your naked eye, as when you do a lot of thin DOF, macro or telephoto or fisheye photography, there is also the question on the beauty of the image/ experience that gets stored in your mind. With an EVF I'd have some difficulty retaining an enjoyable memory of the moment. Might be the contrast or the stuttering during panning, slight glitches during AF etc.
