Is the 50 f/3.5 worth getting?

Hi all,

While the 80 f/1.7 is the lens I've been eyeing, it did not make the sales list.

I've been debating picking up the 50 f/3.5. This would be my first prime for the GFX system. At the moment, I own two zooms -- the 35-70 (which came bundled w/ my 50S II) and the 100-200. I'm wondering if the 50 f/3.5 would offer a noticeable improvement in IQ over the 35-70? Should I expect to see images with a better rendering, more distinct character, or whatever ambiguous descriptor generally thrown around by photographers?

I dig the small profile (take-me-everywhere quality) of the 50 f/3.5 and the fact that it has an aperture ring. However, it's not a particularly fast lens and the minimum focus distance is blah. But, if there is a "look" to the images that I'm not getting from the zooms than I'll probably pick it up.

Many thanks in advance.
