Tamron 35-150/2-2.8 focus adjustment
1

I don't own the lens, but have used it many times - and I'll now be able to borrow it for my event photography regularly going forward.

I love this lens. The only gripe I have with it is that it tends to miss focus ever so slightly. My technical expertise isn't sufficient to tell why or where it focuses exactly, but instead of tack sharp eyes, I get ever so slightly out-of-focus ones.

It's pretty subtle but it's there. Is there anything I can do on my A9 to improve on this?

Here's a SOOC example without any edits. This was not a difficult shot to take, yet it somehow managed to ever so slightly misfocus. I was using AF-C, eye detection on (human). The camera indicated that it had locked focus on her eyes (green box).
