I think the question you should first ask is "What is the deal with these Youtubers that struggle to take sharp photos when other do?"

Again, no, you’re misrepresenting facts. They don’t “struggle” to take sharp photos. If you watch the videos you’ll see plenty of sharp photos (at least as far as a YouTube video allows to assess).

Their issue is with the miss rate, which seems to be noticeably higher than with other systems they have used and tested, and the fact that the green box seems to be giving too many false focus confirmations. I think it’s a problem worth looking into. If it’s not a problem for you, that’s great, but I like to be a little more respectful with the experience, abilty and needs of others.

Anyway, I’ve read enough posts in this forum to know there are, like in any brand-centric forum there ever was, blind apologists on duty. So I won’t take this any further.

Frankly, what these people do is rush to publish to monetize their Youtube channel. This is in contrast to those that will spend a month with a camera learning how to use it in all sorts of real life situations and then write there review. They expose a problem Fuji should address and that's getting setup guides published by competent photographers.

On my X-H2s, I've observed that when the camera is in subject detection mode, the green box displays where the camera has focused, not necessarily where the focus is at the very moment. For example a bird blasts off. The green box remains where the bird was while the focus system remains on the birds eye as it flies.

There are situations where subject bird (and I assume others) where the camera will identify the wrong part of the bird. For example, when a wading bird is feeding and its head is down the camera will focus on the tail as if it's the head. This is a time when the photographer needs to take over control using one of the traditional focus methods such as zone or single point. I recommend that people have a button setup to do this. If you watch videos about the Z9, you will see this same recommendation. Did you see this in the videos you are talking about?

As far as watching there videos, I have done this in the past and then they wind up in my Youtube feed and frankly I don't want to support their rush to judgement style.
