In my experience of X-H2 I thought AF was OK (green box on right part of subject), but when reviewing in post AF had locked onto the busy background. In some cases the subject was pretty stationary.
That was with subject detection (dog & bird), AF-C and focus priority. AF is much faster than X-T4, so don't regret the upgrade. I just would not use subject detection, until firmware improved, at least where shot really matters.
