I'm very skeptical of Fuji's claims about improvements in AF-C. Yes, I expect improvements but nothing that would make the company competitive with Sony, Nikon or Canon top AF performers. Can the Fuji cameras still be used successfully for BIF? Of course..and some users have spectacular success. Regardless,  Fuji does not make the most effective tools for the job, but one can obviously use them quite successfully.  Myself? Found the XT3 and XT4 AF too overhyped and was constantly battling to get the best out of the cameras when birding.As with earlier Fuji offerings, I'm again reading about folks "red flagging" the AF. I'll continue to use Fuji for AF-S photography and Sony for wildlife movement shots.
