What's the deal with the X-T5 autofocus?

There is a lot to improve...

Just to be clear I own an X-T5 and other than these issues, I`m very happy with the camera.

And now, to the AF:

- incosistent S-AF issue was not solved. I had this with my X-T4 and X100V and I see no improvement. Using the manual focus mode + AF-ON button workaround works with the X-T5 as well.

- eye/face AF: definetly improved, but far from the today standard. I don`t talk about accuracy, but about "stickiness".

- AF system "user friendliness": eye/face AF is kind of separated from the other modes so when suddenly the camera does not detect an eye/face, the camera switches back to the standard focus box = missed shot.

As I see it: Fuji needs to fix the S-AF inconsistency issue first, and most probably this will also solve the C-AF accuracy issues. Then Fuji needs to work on the tracking AF and integrate it with face/eye AF, to ensure "stickiness" and that the user has the control on what to focus on. I don`t say, that the Sony AF system is perfect, but it would be a good example for Fuji to follow: I set the camera to tracking C-AF and this works in 99% of the cases from landscapes to sports.
