R5 or R6 MK II for photography first and video second?

First the context, I am thinking about buying a Canon EOS R6 MKII, but I found a Canon R5 at a very reasonable price (almost the same price as a R6 MKII) here in Europe.

A friend recommended me to go for the R5, as my main focus is photography; but I'm slowly getting into the video world and while both cameras have amazing video features, I feel that the R6 MK II has more rounded specs for me, but the R5 would be more future-proof.

I feel that the R6 MK II oversampled 6K video in IPB compression, is better than the 4K of the R5, correct me if I'm wrong here, but maybe having that 4K 100fps of the R5 would be a good tool for the type of video I currently do.

Another question to take into account is the size of the files and the types of memory, perhaps the R5 requires a long-term investment in terms of hard disks and CFExpress, as for the R6 I already have SD Cards necessary to record in maximum quality.

I would like to read your comments and thoughts.

Thanks in advance.
