Quality Entry Level Full Frame Landscape Lens

I have a Nikon Z50 kit (also Nikon 50mm 1.8S for portraits) and a Sony RX100 III and despite being merely a hobbyist I'm considering a full frame upgrade. I like landscapes and portraits. An obvious choice would be a Nikon Z5 but although I understand that megapixels aren't everything I'm inclined towards the idea that going from 20 to 24mp isn't a meaningful enough jump, but going from 21 to 42-45mp would be.

I periodically see models like the Sony A7r III at lower prices, only about $300 more than a Nikon Z5, and that tempts me, but I'm concerned about the price of glass. Nikon makes a 24-70 f/4 lens you can buy for $300 and it actually gets good reviews. I'm interested if Sony or Tamron etc make a similar lens, about the same price and quality, but am concerned that only GM $1500 lenses are offered. I haven't looked at the lens lineup enough to know much.

Thoughts?
