Welcome to the "M50 club" - I have both the M50 and the M50 Mk2 which is slightly improved (especially in the focusing speed and accuracy front).

Regarding lenses, as R2D2 mentioned the 15-45 is a very good lens if you are lucky to get a good copy.

One of the benefits of the M-series is the compactness of the bodies and lenses so for that reason my recommendations are for native lenses only - the adaptor (EF-M to EF) adds weight and EF and EF-S lenses are generally heavier and bulkier and often do not offer an image quality advantage. After a number of permutations I have settled with:

Canon 15-45 (general purpose)
Canon 11-22 (landscape, walkabout - great lens)
Sigma 30/1.4 (general purpose - great quality/images)
Sigma 56/1.4 (my favourite lens on this camera)
Canon 55-200 (for sports, candid etc - surprisingly capable)

The M50/M50Mk2 are very capable cameras especially when paired with quality glass such as the Sigmas mentioned above and Canon 11-22 and the Canon 32/1.4 which I hear is a great lens. I shoot weddings with my M50s (previously using D-SLR 5DMk3s) so such is my confidence in the system. Shame Canon is channelling all its R&D efforts on the R-system now..

Hope this helps
Alexis
