Focus Question the Canon 24mm II TS

I am having a problem getting acceptably wide DOF with my Canon 24 II TS. Using my Sony 12-24mm 2.8 @ 24mm as a comparison, I took shots of my 15x20 living room at f7.1 corner-to-corner.  With the 12-24 (on manual focus), I can get an acceptable DOF across the living room.  I cannot get anywhere near the same DOF from the TS at the same settings, regardless of where I set focus. The focus area is much tighter and I don't understand why.  Also, I have tilt and shift both set to 0.

Is it a normal expectation that TS lenses at the same focal length have less DOF than other lenses?  I have not experienced this with my 17mm ts.  I just purchased the 24mm used and wondering if this could be an issue with the copy.

Shooting on a Sony A7r IV with Sigma MC-11 for the TS, btw.
