Seriously, is he really GOING TO "SEE" A DIFFERENCE going from a D7000 to 7200 ???

Huh? D7000?

What thread are you reading?

OK ... there is another ongoing 'D7000' thread ... so I will correct my question ...

Is he really GOING TO "SEE" A DIFFERENCE going from D3100 to D7200 ???

If he learns the D7200 and uses it correctly... absolutely.

If he learns the D3100, he'll see a difference and won't need a new camera.

Except he mentioned getting into low light.

These are stationary objects, a tripod will do.

If that's as all he's ever going to shoot, sure.

He said "night objects", not night trucks.

Anyway, my recommendation stands. A D7200 + good lenses. Some of which aren't usable on a D3100.

But he was also talking about a lack of real-time image in OVF, (and live-view is not equal to true ML-EVF), so why not a (FF) Z5 and he gets EVF plus an (even newer) FF sensor for his low-light ???

I don't understand why we keep recommending (old-technology) dSLR's when ML's are the future ???
