Just building off what you are saying...

The S1R can be bought used for under $1,900 at MBP here in the USA.

(Solely for comparison sake, the original Z7 sells for a couple hundred less, the Z7 II sells for a couple hundred more. The a7R III sells for a few hundred less as well, while the a7R IV sells for a few hundred more).

So maybe for the original poster a higher MP camera would be a more satisfying upgrade???
