RX100 VI and PL6

Took my new RX100 VII out today and had a blast with it.

That soon changed when I loaded the RAW files in Photolab 6.

The images looked awful. Flat, reddish colors and poor contrast.

I ended up making all the files B/W so they looked decent.

I loaded the profile for the new camera as prompted by PL6. The software shows my camera.

I was about to box up the camera to take it back, but decided to load the files into Capture One just for giggles.

The files looked great in CO with no editing whatsoever.

So I loaded Pure Raw 2 so I can still use the brilliant DXO noise magic, then process in CO.

Im a happy camper and the images look REALLY good. Maybe a hair off from what I’m used to, but I feel like the precise Sony AF makes up for the slight IQ difference.

Just in case anyone else runs into this.
