a7c overheating

I have been doing stills for many years but am just starting to do some videos, mainly my granddaughter's basketball games. I had been using the OM 1with no issues. I am now using the a7c, while filming yesterday I did get a message on the camera about overheating. Had to shut camera off for a few minutes then rest of the day all was fine. This only happened once after shooting three games.

I assume this is normal, correct me if I am wrong though, for times when there do not seem to be any breaks in the game. I am filming in XAVCS HD, 60p 25m. Not sure what all that means. I am a little surprised though since I am shooting in normal HD (1920 x 1080) as opposed to 4K. I can't remember how many minutes I was filming, did not seem like it was more than 15 though. Would using 30p be better? I did a little research for filming basketball, from what I read using 60p would be best. If this matters, the shutter speed was 125, f8 aperture, 3200 iso.

I used manual focus, sitting in the middle and setting focus at about the free throw line on both ends. I have no idea how the a7c would autofocus and what would be best focus setting to use.

I have ordered the a7r5 which I assume will be better suited. I mainly wanted to use the a7c as my second travel camera. I actually like the camera a little more than I thought I would. I did think overheating would not be a problem shooting normal HD.
