Yea I’m still really impressed with the RF 100-400, that lens is so much better than the $500 price suggests.

AND, it's lighter, smaller, with focal lengths available down to the minimum as opposed to the RF 100-500. In tests, I can see a difference in sharpness but for practical use, it's a steal.

For sharpness I’m struggling to see much difference in the middle of the frame but maybe it’s something to do with the lenses I used or the post processing… The difference I’m finding, especially after editing, is small enough that I REALLY have to look hard to see it, especially on the R10.

Yes, I agree. The difference in practical sharpness between the RF 100-400 and the RF 100-500 is minimal for my purposes.
