I watched this video and she make a good point. The choice between these two lenses is affect by the RF lenses in your gear. In her case the RF28-70f2 cause her to prefer the 135f2.8. I have the f2.8 trinity of 15-35f2.8, 24-70f2.8 & 70-200f2.8 which are not as big or heavy as her f2 zoom.
However, have a RF50f1.2L which I like with the trinity for shooting events and whole body portraits. The 135f1.8 can complement the 50f1.2 very well.
So I too was affected in my preference by the other lenses I have.

Good luck with your decision for your use. They are all great lenses.

50mm for whole body i generally shoot 35 but will try and see how i like it.

I think the both work but if you shooting only one or two close people the perspective is from a closer vantage point.    For a group of seven you probably have to use a 35.

I tend to like a perspective in which the subject noise to not appear to stick out much.  A flatter view from a distance.
