True and in other words, cameras like many gizmos including automobiles are simply being loaded with unnecessary features for more cost $$$ to the buyer. My cameras (and cars) are loaded with features I don't need or use but the manufacturers are reeling in the cash.

Photography has survived decades just fine without IBIS. IBIS can in some specific instances be useful but an experienced shooter can do well without it.

Yep! More features = more things that could fail.

Just need to watch your shutter speed and if that's not viable then use some form of support. However, this also depends on how and what you shoot.
