If the 2 new R bodies are going to be the roumered small bodies, then I expect many M owners to jump ship.

I don’t. There are way too few RF-S lenses yet to shoot with! Certainly not any with the advanced and unique capabilities that we now already enjoy with EF-M.

Maybe throw a fast (f/2.8) RF-S standard zoom into the mix and then you might change the equation. Certainly not one with nearly the size and cost of the RF 15-35 that I just bought however! It would instead need the price and form factor of that new APS-C 18-50 Sigma. Chances of that happening though?!

Or maybe Canon could replicate ALL of the great primes we’re using now, then you’d maybe have the equivalent of what we can shoot with currently. But we all know Canon isn’t going to do that (or allow 3rd party to). That kind of capability would threaten their lucrative FF sales!

So IMHO a great new (little) RF-S body would really appeal more to the newbies out there with their kit lenses than the advanced shooters typical of these forums.

Honestly I think this reality is the reason why so many of us are actually doubling down on our M’s right now. Get one now or never folks!
