Focus area settings for birds/wildlife

Hello! I’ve been shooting birds and wildlife with the Sony a6xxx series for a number of years now, and currently have the a6600.

I shoot manual, AF-C and I switch between Wide focus area for birds in flight and Flexible Spot for perched birds or still subjects.

Does anyone know of an efficient way to toggle between two focus area settings? I assigned one of the custom buttons to bring up the Focus Area menu, but I still have to scroll through several options to select one or the other. This results in a lot of missed shots - particularly those sudden or unexpected flight shots.

I’ve gone through a lot of YouTube tutorials but none that specifically address this issue. Does anyone have a solution or workaround? Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions.
