Thank you for your reply. Yes, what you say is right, but it was not the reason camera died. It died because of Canon bug. When I choose option clean sensor, bang. Camera did shut off.

I have 2 more eos-m that are still strong. One has very little use. The one was the one I used regularly for 10 years.

I took picture one minute ago.

In the midle the one kaput. In the extremes 2 working flawlessly.

So it was not problem of lubricants. Corrosion maybe..., maybe that's why camera had heart attack when I pressed that setting.

When I bought them they were 380 bucks,each. That's why I bought 3.

Have you tried depressing that battery door switch, then turning the camera on?

I know it would have been too coincidental in your case, but that switch has caused people issues in the past.
