R3 or wait for R1 for BIF and low light conditions?

I'm new to this forum and am testing the water so patience please.

I've had Olympus micro 4/3 since 2013 now using the E-M1X with 150-400 f/4.5.

However, with the release of Canon mirrorless bodies, particularly the full frame R5 (many friends have this with 100-500) and R3 I'm most impressed at the performance particularly eye capture and in low light conditions.

It appears that R6 & R7 don't have built in GPS so they're out of consideration as I need to know where I've photographed particular birds.  A good friend with R5 has the GPS unit on the hot shoe but isn't impressed with the reliability.

Who is pleased with the R3 particularly for BIF?

Who is waiting for the rumoured R1 and why?

Thanks all for your considerations and advice.
