Sony ibis question with Tamron or any stabilized lenses
Sony ibis question with Tamron or any stabilized lenses
3 months ago
I am just about finished selling my 4/3 gear and am going back to Sony. I just bought the Sony pz 16-35 and a7c, which I like more than I thought I would. I have ordered the a7r5. I never did sell the Sony 24-105 G, glad I held on to it. I intend to buy the Tamron 50-400 but have a concern. I thought the better ibis of the a7r5 would be a real benefit when using the 50-400. I am now wondering if Sony restricts to only lens stabilization because when I put the stabilized 24-105 on the a7c the steady shot icon is greyed out. It does not matter if the lens stabilization is turned on or off. I assume the 8 stop body stabilization would work better than the lens three stop stabilization. I would not think the camara ibis could only be used for non-stabilized lenses.

The OM System M.Zuiko Digital ED 90mm F3.5 Macro IS PRO is finally here! Chris has opinions.
The Canon EOS R8 is the company's latest mid-level full-frame mirrorless camera. It brings the sensor and autofocus from the EOS R6 II and combines them in a smaller, more affordable body.
The Canon EOS R50 is an entry-level, compact APS-C mirrorless camera. A 24MP RF-mount camera aiming to attract smartphone users and, perhaps, vloggers.
See what Chris and Jordan think of the Canon EOS R8 after shooting in Charleston, South Carolina.
The Canon EOS R50 is inexpensive. It's tiny. Is it good? Jordan and Chris dodged alligators in South Carolina to find out.
