Unlike the R6, the RP has several very useful preset scenes. It also works very well in low light. I have both RP and R6 and can vouch that the RP is no slouch: it is also smaller and lighter than the R6, not to mention cheaper.

thank you for your suggested alternative. i am skeptical with BB's shipping estimate. if i don't see being shipped today or if there is a longer wait, i definitely look up the RP and hopefully it comes with a kit with your suggested lens of course hopefully available.
