Monopod set up for A1 + 100-400

I have today had my first outing with this set up

I use monopods as I walk a lot with the camera chasing deer and normally by the time you set up a tripod the deer is gone so I use a monopod to be more effective

I have been using this configuration with Panasonic GH5M2 and GH6 with excellent results

Once I got the A1 in a cage I have done some modding to use the same monopod and overall is around 400 grams heavier but bearable

In general terms with the exception of working out how the camera functions I did not have issues and I am pleased that I got useable footage at ISO 12800. The dynamic range in slog3 is good and the camera never clips

The IBIS however is insufficient to produce good result on my monopod. I will work on my breathing and holding technique however I just could not get similar result of the Panasonic that have a function called IS boost a sort of tripod emulator

I used the Sony 100-400 and tried both mode 1 and 2 stabilisation but with no real solution

I heard you can stabilise in post in catalyst but I have not got there yet

Next step I will try the active mode to see if it makes a difference...
