Re: from nikon to canon r5
5

I shoot both Canon and Nikon mirrorless--the R5 and Z9, respectively. I had been shooting the R5, but I decided to add a flagship-level (action) camera to my kit, and the R3 wasn't it (not enough resolution). I contemplated switching entirely to Nikon, but the Nikon offerings below the Z9 are woefully lacking. Meanwhile, unless I'm shooting wildlife requiring a (very) long lens or in low light, I keep coming back to the R5. It is such a brilliant camera, I positively giggle when I pick it up. The AF could be a little better, and I've lost a few (very few) shots to rolling shutter. Other than that, I absolutely love the R5. Its ergonomics and UI are superb, and it's performance, IMO, is the best in its class (the R7 is darn good, but it's hard to get past the extreme RS issues, and it just doesn't work for me at all in low light).

Thus, if someone is starting out and not in the market for a $5000+ body, I always recommend the R5.  It's just an amazing piece of kit.
