D500 vs full frame
1

Hi folks.

I shoot wildlife (all critters, including bears, otters, beavers, deer, birds on sticks, birds not on sticks, birds in flight etc) exclusively and have been using a D500 for the last 6 months, or so. I live in British Columbia where light is often an issue, resulting in high ISOs (>1600): Is the D500 still the camera for me, or is it worth going full frame?

There were some guys next to me yesterday who were praising the D850 and I was thinking about finding a used one I could trade my D500 in for: would that be a good move?

I have a 200-500 5.6 and use it at 500/5.6 90% of the time and reach is also an issue and I find myself cropping a lot, so I want something that has high IQ, that will tolerate heavy cropping.

Thanks.
