Hahnemuhle Baryta paper and Epson P700 print quality level

Making some prints with the Epson P700 printer on Hahnemuhle Fineart Baryta Satin paper I noticed that there is a huge difference in quality whether you print at high quality (3) or at maximum quality (4).

The prints made at level 3 are absolutely unusable with a very evident grain and a low resolution, at quality 4 the print is completely different, homogeneous and well defined.

The Hahnemuhle Fineart Pearl also exhibits something similar but not so prominently.

Instead, the Hahnemuhle Fineart Baryta and Photorag Baryta are already of good quality even at level 3.

I can't explain this behavior of the Fineart Baryta Satin, has anyone encountered the same problem?

I enclose some scans of 4x6 prints at 600 dpi to illustrate what I said (enlarge images for better viewing).
