Just a simple question, really.
Let's limit it to the R7 and R10 for simplicity sake.
Do EF lenses work as well on newer R bodies?

Yes

Very well and in my experience even better than on the 5DIV and 5DSR and other crop body DSLR's I have owned over the years.  Birds in flight has been transformed on getting my R10 (and R5).  The eye-tracking AF is superb.  The traditional single spot is also very good.

Only exception I have heard of validated is some 3rd party lenses like the sigma 150-600 pulse in tracking/servo mode - and expect lower than expected keeper rate.  Most 3rd party lenses actually work far more consistently in AF on the R cameras than DSLRs.

Now there are reports of some notably older EF lenses not being quite as good as RF lenses - but no reports of these being less good than DSLRs.  On some older lenses one sometimes does not get the full frames per second.   This includes my sigma 180 macro.

EF lenses are so good, I only have one RF lens (the 16mm).  I would buy the RF 100-500 and some others if starting from scratch, but the EF work so well see no need.
