Hmm - not sure on this - there are some amazing high end options like the 28-70 f/2 and 15-35 f2.8 as great wide/normal zooms, 50 1.2, 85 f/1.2 and now the 135 f/1.8 in prime territory - and the 100-500 get rave reviews too, (I'd buy one if not so expensive and I already have long lenses).

Lower budget lenses for full frame some great options too - as others have mentioned like the 16 f/2.8 which is tiny and fine for most uses unless need both perfect straight lines and super sharp corners, 85 f/2 I'm very tempted by and the 100-400 which seems a cracking lens for the size and weight (again would buy if I did not have other lenses already).

For me the disappointment so far is the great white teles - while nikon innovate with some splendid new designs, all canon give us is 600 4.0's EF's with a built in RF adapter and price hike - and ridiculous price and not great performing 800/1200 options with EF lenses and a built in 2xTC and a RF adaptor....   Fortunately the mark II EF tele's work seemlessly adapted, and in the UK at least, some great value used copies now.
