X-T5 - electronic shutter doesn't work in EF+M+E Mode - any idea why?
2

I have been using Fuji X for almost 7 years now and have never encountered this issue before.

I have received my X-T5 the other day and have set it up exactly like my X-T4 (which I also still own).

I like to use Auto ISO with a minimum shutter speed preset and set the Aperture manually. ISO dial and S.S. dial are set to A.

For the shutter type, I mostly use EF+M+E.

The camera is supposed to automatically switch to ES when necessary but it just won't:

Instead, I get an orange S.S. reading of 8000.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why this is the case unless it's a firmware bug.

When I change to ES manually with the exact same settings, it works fine:

I have just compared to the X-T4 again and used the exact same settings for everything and it works there as it should while using EF+M+E:

X-T4 switches to ES and raises S.S., as it should be.

Does anyone have any idea what might be the reason for this?

Thanks,

Euron
