AFC Zone or Eye AF for moving kids? with X-T5 (advice)

I would like to ask your advice as to what technique would be most appropiate in this case scenario:

Imagine you are trying to photograph your toddler or grandchild while playing. It moves around erratically. Also, you'd like to open the aperture for a nice soft background. Sometimes you take full body pictures and some other times you want to get close for portraits (shoulders and head).

With a Fuji X-T5 and a 33mm f1.4 or 56mm f1.2 (new version), what technique is the most appropriate?

- AFC with Eye AF. The Eye AF will track the eyes around the frame.

- AFC Zone with eye AF turned off - then trying to keep him/her in the zone box.

Many thanks for your advice!
