Got new R5: A question about Top LCD

Hi guys, finally did it. Got yesterday afternoon a brand new R5 with an adapter to use my legacy EF glass for now.

So far so good, however, I find the top LCD very dim. It is a little strange: Indoors it is readable but it stays very dim (for me anyway).

So, this morning I walked out the house expecting one of two things: An automatic boost or becoming totally unreadable.

Surprise, it didn't become unreadable but the contrary. Actually it looks to me a lot easier to read. Although I didn't noticed a boost in luminosity it's completely readable both with sun rays striking or under an open shade.

Back indoors, I walked into a very dim room and noticed the top LCD to become annoyingly dim , so I think the camera must have some kind of sensor.

Is this normal behavior? Is there a way to customize?

Please chime in and share your comments.

Thanks so much in advanced.
