Great lens but not for extensive vlogging
Great lens but not for extensive vlogging
I bought this lens as general lens as I noticed the wide end is what i use most of the time rather than doing rather "not enough tight" zoom as 50 mm or 70mm.
Thought it would be great vlogging lens too - it is great however its hard to do long vlogs because of its weight. 800ish g is not a lot if you film environment however if you turn the camera to your face it is another talk and this lens easily feels more like 1000-1500 g range. So for short vlogs great but for longs vlogs I would better recommend something like 1.8 20mm g. Though its not a lot frontheavy - I can easily use it for hours just holding the grip and just a bit lens to stabilise footage
Using it as filmaking and youtube or documentariies camera it is completely other conversation - it is literally perfect. Wide enough but not distorted in tight areas and zoomy aenough to make graet envinronmental portraits which most people love the most. It is ultimate filmaking, docummentaries, youtube and events lens, 5/5
