Hey i just ordered an R5C! Now i need memory cards. I understand it has one slot for CFExpress and one normal SD card. I intend to buy an Angelbird 512mb Cfexpress card for one slot which will only be used for 8k video. The other slot i will use only for photos (i only do timelapses so no need for fast burst speeds or anything). So my question is can i use these SD cards as I already have 6 of them so would be good to be able to keep using them

SanDisk Extreme PRO 128GB SDXC Memory Card up to 170MB/s, UHS-1, Class 10, U3, V30

This page has all the relevant data: https://cam.start.canon/en/C003/manual/html/UG-09_Reference_0100.html#Reference_0100_4

If you're not shooting bursts your current SD cards will be 100% fine. Even if you do shoot bursts, you will be able to shoot at full speed until the buffer fills - the only penalty will be a long wait for the buffer to clear for the next shot/burst.

My worry would be that if you specifically want to shoot 8K video, one 512 MB CFexpress card might not be enough. Again the above link has the data.

That's super helpful link thanks. I have booked marked it. Hmm looks like sd cards can do more than I thought on this camera.

Yep I know the one card won't be enough and I expect I will order another one or two as soon as I verify that everything else is working as expected.
