Re: A walk in "Alpes-de-Haute-Provence" (South of France)

Hello JeremieB

My Internet was very slow, but now all is ok.

Nice picture of the pheasant.

The second picture viewed in full screen on my monitor: it look's like a lot AF points of your K3 III was red  ... what a camera, that it could focus to this small, fast  and fare away birds! It's nice to zoom in for a view on them.

best regards  KPM2

I took only my newly acquired Sigma 100-300 F/4 in order to test it, though I missed something on the wide end.

I "saw" many great photos to take (misty landscapes on our trip there, some unknown bird but other people frightened it, etc), but when you're not alone it's frustrating sometimes

Here is what I could do ... Thanks for watching !

Should have made a pano

Common linnets

(above is an example of a picture that has some interest only if seen on a big screen)

The poor pheasant was probably released very recently, to help hunters find "wild" animals to shoot. They don't last long (the pheasants) ... If I had had some food I'm sure it would have picked it from my hand. It was running away from me, or should I say, it was slowly walking away from me, when I got really too close. Most of the time it was trying to find food (I'm not it ever found any).

Light was difficult, nearly a crash test for the lens. CA was awful on out of focus leaves (I fixed most of it).

PP with Darktable and Topaz Photo AI on some. Mostly a lot of PP on last one because it was not a good exposure, but it's the only one where I have the whole pheasant.
