Not a poll option but it is where I am; Keeping the Eos R for now, but have shelved 2 planned lens purchases until I'm clear as to whether or not to leave Canon.

Also if another party brings some TS lenses it could sway me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but TS lenses don't have AF, so they would work just as good on any nikon or sony cameras with an EF adapter that could control the aperture.

Or am I missing something?

It may be bad luck but I’ve been round the course on electronic adapters a couple of times. I still use the 45 & 90 non-L and these have been the root of some adapter woes.

Consequently electronically adapting lens brand X to camera brand Y via adater brand Z on a range of core glass is off the table.

I do use dumb adapters for old manual lenses - the Contax 35mm PC Distagon is a favourite on my 5Ds. In my little world an all new 35mm shift would be killer but I know there is zero chance of that. A new generation 24mm TS &1.4x might finally allow me to drop the Zeiss - my EF 24II with 1.4x III falls short of noticeable improvement.

That's interesting, because the only thing the adapter would have to do is change apertures. Nothing that complicated.
I could understand if they had AF, but on MF lenses, not sure you'd have any problem there.

I have three adapters with electronics in them that no longer work.   I never again will not but an adapter than includes electronics.
